A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong : A Comedic Christmas So Wrong That Its Right

I am sure that I will talk more about "The Goes Wrong Show" in the future, both the show itself and the hour-long specials made. It has become one of my favorite shows of all time, bringing me constant laughter no matter how many times I rewatch an episode, and I know the jokes that are coming. For those who do not know, this show follows The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, as they put on countless plays that, as the title indicates, go wrong in ways beyond the audience's imaginations. Tons of jokes, great physical comedy, and even some heart, I wanted to end my holiday posts for this year, talking about what I have only recently seen and already love: A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. Following their last hour-long special, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, the team is now taking on the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, which I will say to understand some of the jokes, the Peter Pan special must be viewed, as this is very much a sequel. Hijinks ensue in all shapes and sizes, such as...

Christmas Who? SpongeBob's First Holiday

This episode has become a yule tide staple for me to the point where I watch this once or twice every time the Christmas season rolls around. SpongeBob SquarePants has had many Christmas episodes over the years, but the one I wanted to talk about today was the very first, the episode titled "Christmas Who?". I remember watching this when it first aired, as it told the yuletide tale of the time Christmas came to Bikini Bottom for the first time.  This episode was the introduction of beloved character and long-time SpongeBob fan Patchy the Pirate as he recounts the story in some very funny live-action segments. The episode is full-length, which at the time was not a normal occurrence for our nautical hero, most episodes having two episode segments in them, thus already making this Christmas tale special. SpongeBob learns about Christmas for the first time and tries to bring it to the people of his undersea town. Trying to bring cheer to everyone and anyone as he waits for the ...

The Yule Tide Joy Of A Christmas Episode

It is that time of the year, lights, gifts, and in many places, falling snow. The holiday season brings so many great things, time with loved ones, and, of course, traditions such as baking or watching movies. There are movies that come on this time of year that we know by heart, the songs, lines, and scenes, so much so that some of those famous moments are seen plastered on several pieces of merchandise every year. me I have some favorites, such as the original "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", "Elf", "Home Alone", and more, but I usually don't start off the holiday season with those. I usually begin by watching television episodes that are Christmas-themed, and I thought, Why not talk about those. These are a tradition to me because I associate them with this time of year, whether I saw them when they first aired when I was a child or watched the episode during the season later. Many shows come to mind, SpongeBob SquarePants, Chowder, Justice League...

Mickey's Christmas Carol

There are many adaptations of a Christmas Carol, musical, animated, live action, and set across different time periods. I enjoy a good number of them, from The Muppets to the Netflix animated version called "Scrooge", the Goes Wrong show production's adaptation, and I'm always welcome to seeing different adaptations. I even have nostalgia for Cartoon versions, such as the Flintstones version or Looney Tunes, but I wanted to begin some of my holiday posts with a version of this story that was my first owning it on VHS, and one I still try to watch every year, "Mickey's Christmas Carol", one that is very special to me, that I also have an ornament of this special as a book with multiple pictures in it.    We have all seen a version of the story before, with Ebenezer Scrooge, whose love of money has made him cold and hateful. He is visited by three spirits after being warned by the ghost of his former partner to be given a chance to change, getting a glimp...
