Upholding The Bro Code: How How I Met Your Mother Is A Near Perfect Representation Of Friendship

Some of the content of this show is dated and of it's time, there is some humor that I do not agree with. But there is plenty that I do like, enjoy, and find merit in, this is some of that content. I have been watching a ton of How I Met Your Mother lately, I never watched it back when it was airing, and have only began watching it on Netflix for the first time, aside from some clips and a song or two. I am enjoying the show, have laughed, and even teared up at some points, the characters are not only fun to watch but also deal with real conflicts of navigating late 20's and early 30's life, in careers, romance, friendship and other ways. Gags both new and running can often leave me rolling but there is one thing both comedic and heartfelt that I wanted to touch on that this show does so incredibly well. Bros just being Bros. Barney, Ted, and Marshall are bros that are not just fun to watch, but also relatable in a positive display friendship. But the way it nails the grou...

Number Ten... Why I Love List Videos And How They Make Me Want To Make Lists As Well

Sometimes it's fun to just sit back and hyper fixate on something. As someone who has been clinically diagnosed with ADHD and is not ashamed of it. One of my latest favorites is to watch my favorite yotubers make list videos. Ranked, in any order, top tens, top fives, or the Maximilian Dood and Yo Videogames crew making console ranking lists. Where they debate and discuss what they see as a personal top ten for a videogame console should be among its vast game library. So much so I have made some of my own personal lists on my podcast Late Night Sprites, and have made lists with friends. List content is my latest hyper fixation.  It is just so fun to see other people's opinions on stuff I love. For example if someone rated their favorite their favorite Super Nintendo games, one of my favorite videogame systems of all time, I want to hear their thoughts, their placement, how many of their picks are favorites, how many of their picks are games I have played and so on. ...

Why My Enjoyment Of Cobra Kai Never Dies

Slight, General/Light Spoilers For Cobra Kai Ahead At the time of this post, the Karate Kid franchise is closing a chapter that began in 2018, Cobra Kai is entering its series finale, and an epilogue movie "Karate Kid Legends" hits the screens in May. I have only began watching this show last year, but within two months I was caught up in time for season six, the current and final season. I love this show, the action, the comedy, the heart, and even some of the messages this show has to offer. Before the final season drops I wanted to dive into some general thoughts on why this show had me hooked from the time the credits rolled on the first episode.  This show begins with Johnny Lawrence played by William Zabka, as he may or may not be living in the past since the ending of those classic 80's karate movies, his rival, the former hero Daniel LaRusso played by Ralph Macchio who may seem more successful may not have entirely moved on either. The world of karate calls back...

Escaping The Cold Winter Weather To Wuhu Island (Wii Sports Resort)

It is the first month of the year meaning, it is cold and gray, it is snowy, and it gets dark super early making everything feel later then it actually is. So I planned a vacation, but not one too far away, all I needed was a Wii Remote, occasionally a nunchuck, and a copy of "Wii Sports Resort". This childhood favorite that required the Wii Motion Plus accessory or for it to be played is one of my favorite Wii games, definitely top 5, and a childhood staple. Some of the games requiring the nunchuck, but most, and many of my personal favorite sports included just needing the Wii Remote with the attachment or a Wii Mote plus. I popped this game in and decided to escape the cold to a place of warmth, not physical warmth but that which comes from nostalgia and remembering times where the only worry I had was making sure I saw new episodes of my favorite cartoons when they first premiered.   My vacation began with selecting my Mii, and then said Mii jumping with several othe...
