Number Ten... Why I Love List Videos And How They Make Me Want To Make Lists As Well

Sometimes it's fun to just sit back and hyper fixate on something. As someone who has been clinically diagnosed with ADHD and is not ashamed of it. One of my latest favorites is to watch my favorite yotubers make list videos. Ranked, in any order, top tens, top fives, or the Maximilian Dood and Yo Videogames crew making console ranking lists. Where they debate and discuss what they see as a personal top ten for a videogame console should be among its vast game library. So much so I have made some of my own personal lists on my podcast Late Night Sprites, and have made lists with friends. List content is my latest hyper fixation.

It is just so fun to see other people's opinions on stuff I love. For example if someone rated their favorite their favorite Super Nintendo games, one of my favorite videogame systems of all time, I want to hear their thoughts, their placement, how many of their picks are favorites, how many of their picks are games I have played and so on.

I used to watch a ton of WatchMojo for this very reason, not so much any more but it was fun to see the variety in topics, and learn something new. It was fun to see topics on things I liked, or something unexpected like "Top Ten Funniest Deaths In Movies". There was a clip from that one that had me and friends rolling back in the day. Lists can inform and entertain depending on how well versed the viewer is on the topic.

There is a certainty some good comedy in watching a group list video, but also fun and cool to see people fight for why their pick should be an entry. Lists are just also easy to watch, like a good piece of cake they show you something new, such as new movies to watch or games to try, or they can reenforce how you feel about something. Lists can be comfort content for me because the format is set in stone, from the title of a list, you know what you are going to see, what goes on it is the fun part to find out. Seeing others opinions can also lead to finding new hidden gems to try, even if the item being mentioned is an honorable mention.

There is something fun yet also stressful about constructing a list, because it gets you thinking what is the best or in some cases the worst, and which is better or worse then what proceeds it. Making a list on my own, sometimes I forget a game or movie existed, it's even worse when it is something I really enjoyed and should be on the list.

I enjoy lists the same way I enjoy vlog content, it's fun to see people go to retro game stores, cons, or just living life. Lists are fun like vlogs because it's fun to relate , to see different angels, or opinions on things from creators I enjoy watching. Lists also can take many forms, for example, March Madness with college basketball is listing all the schools and ranking them together, just in a bracket. Tier lists are fun because then every entry is included and you see what goes where.

Tier lists can be especially fun to watch or make because you can decide what a tier is, such a joke that still drives home the quality of entry, or a well placed reference that those who know that ties into the subject. Lists can take many forms and also lead to entertaining videos, so it even doesn't have to be the classic format which is great.

It is also nice to use a list for then just a To-Do option, it's fun to even redo something and see how my taste has changed, if something is higher or lower, or if new entries are on it. So here is a list of sorts on one of my latest hyper fixation and I can not wait to share a few more, with this new reformatted blog. Welcome.
