The Balance Of Physical Media Collecting And The Conveince Of Digital Media

I love watching movies, shows, and playing videogames, a great way to relax on a day off, over the weekend, or after a long day. From Mario to Brooklyn 99, everyone has their ways to unwind. Whether it is reading or coloring, hobbies are just a part of life. Some of the videos I have been watching a lot lately are on physical media and preservation. So I wanted to talk about my take on this angle because I think the answer changes based on each person, myself included, on whether to buy things physically or to download and watch movies and play games digitally.  I love both, I love how I can boot up a streaming service and just watch a movie, or boot up a game without putting it into my system. But I know that if it is on the streaming service, I only have access to the film or show as long as I have the service, and the second I am no longer subscribed, the access goes with it. Digital movies often come bundled with physical DVDs but I more often then not, forget that I even...

The Easter Bunny Is Comin To Town: The Spring Time Sequel To One Of My Favorite Holiday Specials

Image
(Image: IMDB)  I love "Santa Claus Is Comin To Town", it is in my top ten favorite specials to watch during the holiday season and is my favorite of the Rankin Bass specials made. It fills me with joy, i love the songs, it makes me laugh, and I just have so much nostalgia for it, it even inspires me still, I will have to talk about this and some of the Rankin Bass classics come Christmas time.  It was brought to my attention recently that Rankin Bass not only made multiple specials, but they did for multiple holidays, some being for Easter. One of them I grew up with which was "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" which I thought was fine, and had some memorable moments, but then I discovered that there was one about the Easter Bunny connected to a childhood favorite of mine. A sequel that involves the same mail carrier from "Santa Claus Is Comin To Town" and even is told in the same format, which is an origin story that answers questions one may ask. So since I l...

How My Hero Vigilantes Already Has Me Hyped After One Episode

I have been so excited for this, and it really delivered. I love the My Hero Academia series, it is one of my favorite anime of all time, right behind Tiger and Bunny but is definitely in the top five. But then I read the manga for My Hero Academia Vigilantes, which was written by a different author, but is acknowledged as canon and is a prequel to the beloved super hero anime. I like this series more then My Hero Academia, like this is tied with Tiger And Bunny. I still love My Hero, this is truly a two cakes situation, by that I mean it is two pieces of media I enjoy, such as the meme where the guy says "holy crap two cakes!",  Vigilantes is the cake I like more, but I love both. So this past Monday, the first episode dropped and... I loved it. The opening that began captured the feeling I wanted to see in the show that I loved in the manga which is a cool super hero story, that stands apart from the series that shares the same world and even some characters from the base s...

Songs I Keep On Repeat: Odds Are By The Barenaked Ladies

Life can be crazy, sometimes everything seems to be going wrong. But as long as we hold to on to hope, things will be alright. One song that rings true with this simple message while being super chill and catchy at the same time would be "Odds Are" by the Barenaked Ladies or BNL as they are called in Community one of my favorite comedy shows of all time, and will be calling them through the rest of this post as well. This song is one of my go tos to relax with,  and for fans of the YouTube Channel Rooster Teeth, this is one of the two songs the band teamed up with them to make a music video, this song and another great one called "Did I Say That Out Loud?" which I am sure to talk about at some point. This song lists things such as getting hit by meteor or getting attacked by a shark, but showing that according to the odds, someone is more likely to fall in love or just be alright. The song compares the chances of both, and says how the odds are that we, the band an...
