Movie And T.V Themed Food Menus

When I was growing up, I remember seeing a commercial, a Whopper at Burger King with four meat patties being held by Peter Jackson's version of King Kong. As a child I saw a product used to promote a movie while being made to tie into it. As a child toys, videogames, clothes and so much more was tied to movies, but as of late I have had a fascination with limited time, special menu items at fast food and even dine in restaurants, even though I have not participated in any of them, or at least have no memory of doing so. I do count Happy Meals because the toy is themed and changes over time, and even the box that presents them can change as well, but the food being served does not. Today I am talking about food items, from fries, to drinks, sandwiches and more. For example, the meals for How To Train Your Dragon, Across The Spiderverse at Burger King, sometimes even for properties that do not have a movie on the big screen like the SpongeBob meal. Sometimes it isn't even a show...

Mega Man X : A Near Perfect SNES Game

Sometimes a you find a video game that you love so much, you can play it time and time again with the same amount of joy as the first time you picked up the controller and turn the game on. There are many games that fall into that category for me as I have been playing videogames for most of my life, and I wanted to talk about some of them, starting with Megaman X which I replayed very recently, just a couple days ago. Megaman X released originally for the Super Nintendo is available on a myriad of consoles, I own and have owned multiple copies of this game and can complete it in one sitting.  The game follows Megaman X as he must defeat rouge reploids which are futuristic androids, known as Mavericks, the mysterious Vile, and their leader Sigma, with the help of Zero. The game takes the classic approach of the classic Megaman games from the NES era and evolves it into something more. Aside from the classic formula of defeating bosses, gaining their abilities, and reaching the end ...

Opening Doors

As a fan of musical theater, there are plenty of songs I love by Stephen Sondheim, as I look into more of his work, reinforcing old favorites and discovering new ones, there is one song that I have been listening to for years that is definitely in my top five, if not my top three. With the news of the upcoming theatrical release of the recording of "Merrily We Roll Along", which I am beyond excited to see, there is a song from that show that I often go back to. One that I resonate with as I write on my own, or even for this blog. A song that makes me feel seen, written by someone who understands the process of not only writing, but being seen, being heard. The song Opening Doors was one I wanted to talk about, it encourages me, inspires me, and also is just a fantastic listen. The show "Merrily We Roll Along" follows three writers, but it starts at the end, and goes backward in time to show the audience how we got to where we are. This song is the second to last ma...

The Crazy Catchy Awesomeness Of The Disney Afternoon Theme Song

Sometimes for a touch of nostalgia, I will listen to television theme songs, especially if there is an extended version. I love anime openings as well, both the made for TV versions and the full songs. Today I wanted to talk about a theme song for a block of television as well as a couple songs from that block, the Disney Afternoon. The classic block housing Ducktales, Chip And Dale Recuse Rangers, Darkwing Duck and so many more. I will not be going down every theme song (today at least), but I will cover the main theme and why it is  so amazing. I surely will return to this topic to talk about some of the songs for the shows because they are certified classics, there is a reason why the reboot of Ducktales used the same theme song, I'm just saying. So get your headphones ready, and get going because there's so much to do, when it comes to the Disney Afternoon. When it comes to this song I am talking about just the song itself, not the visuals. I have seen the visuals that ac...

Food Television

When I am with my friends, we find ourselves watching a ton of Chopped lately, with some Cutthroat Kitchen mixed in. High pressure cooking shows, with a ticking clock, set backs, and needing to be good enough to advance. But I also love all sorts of shows revolving around food, whether it is being cooked or tasted. When I go to a hotel I usually throw on a show involving food, especially if it's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. There is no hour of the day that I am not down to go with Guy Fieri down to flavor town, with friends, with family, or own my own. So I talked about food on Youtube, let's talk about it on television shall we? There are not many food shows that I will turn away, I love watching people try to cook, especially in challenging situations such as Chopped, or recently Supermarket Stakeout where chefs must bid on blind  carts of groceries for food ingredients. Supermarket Stakeout feels like a mix of Chopped and Cutthroat Kitchen, in the best way possible, it is...
