Songs I Keep On Repeat: I Stand Alone (Quest For Camelot)

Is it possible to have nostalgia for just one aspect of a piece of media but not the whole thing? I think so. For me the movie Quest For Camelot is not one I watch often but the music from the film, is pretty great. For goodness sakes "The Prayer" originates from this movie, but that song is for another day or blog post I should say. For this post I wanted to talk about the song "I Stand Alone", this song is one that should not be overlooked and here is why.  It has been a minute since I talked about music, so why not talk about a song that I both enjoy and also love to use to relax.  In the context of the story, our leading man who is blind, and whose name eludes me and I am too lazy to look up, explains his life philosophy to the main character. I listen to this song out of context exclusively but to me it makes a better song then the film it belongs to. I did watch the movie when I was younger so I am familiar with the movie but I remember only pieces of it, suc...

I Saw TMNT 1990 On The Big Screen In 2025

Last year I saw my first ever movie rerelease with Shrek 2, and ever since I have wanted to see more. I have wanted to either see movies I never saw on the big screen, saw on the big screen but would love to see again on the big screen, or even films I never saw before. When I saw a movie that I absolutely love, the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film from 1990 or TMNT 1990 as many call it was getting put back in theaters, I just had to go. And so I did. This is a film I have watched countless times, but never seen in theaters. My love of the Ninja Turtles actually began in college, not from childhood. One of my best friends and I saw the film released in 2014 directed by Michel Bay and then proceeded to watch a ton of TMNT content on YouTube as well as the other movies. He and I would end up watching every single TMNT film that was released in theaters from the classics all the way up to Mutant Mayhem, so even though I was aware of them when I was younger but not really...

I'm A Punckrocker Yes I Am

Spoilers Ahead For Superman 2025 James Gunn's Superman movie that released this year just may end up being my number one film of 2025. I still want to see it again on the big screen, I love talking about it with my friends, I want to buy the movie once it drops on Blu Ray or 4K, and now that this movie dropped on digital, I wanted to talk about one aspect of the movie. I am sure that I will talk about other moments in this movie, or this movie in general but today I want to focus on the message of the movie, and why it meant so much to me.  The film has one message and it is shown throughout the entire film, being kind to others, and trying to better yourself. That's it, that's what it's all about. This movie is all about the idea of being kind to others, putting kindness into the world, and putting your best foot forward always. A simple message, one we have seen before, heard before, in so many forms of media from movies, to books, and so ...

Movie Reviews Then VS Now

Summer Movie season is winding down as Summer itself is on the last few weeks before the schools begin, the vacations stop, and the weather turns cold. I have seen a good amount of movies over this season, and it is usually the time of the year I see the most films. There are still some films I want to see throughout the Autumn and Winter seasons as well as some more while it's still hot outside, some I want to even see again. But sometimes I skip movies, sometimes I wait for them to rent them or for a film to show up on a streaming service. Sometimes a when a film comes out, I take a quick peek to see if I should pay to watch it on the big screen.  Reviews used to be something you would see on T.V or in the newspaper. When movie reviews come to mind, I think of Siskel and Ebert. The classic film reviewers who often butt heads, leading to many comedic moments. I have seen plenty of these clips, laughed at them and found them super endearing. I even read up and learned about t...

Why The King Of The Hill Opening Is Amazing

The continuation of King Of The Hill is here, and I have been watching a tons of the originals seasons leading up to it. I really like this show, it is hilarious, has tons of memorable moments, and even some great character moments as well. I may talk about it at some point after some time has passed but today I wanted to talk about something that is shared between the old seasons and the new. The intro, the visuals may have changed but still carry the same feeling, and the song is the same, so let's talk about it. Crack open a can, stand around with you friends, and rock out, this is the intro to King Of The Hill. When a show has a good intro song, it is fun to listen to either on it's own or every time we play an episode, and let it run. Countless songs from Disney Afternoon Shows, super hero shows, and more have been played when I am handed the aux chord with friends, or just when they pop into my head and I just have to give them a listen. This song is one of them, the ins...

Every Marvel Movie That Came Out In 2025

It has been quite a while since I have seen every Marvel movie released in theaters, last year was easier as there was only one film "Deadpool And Wolverine", this year there were three films and I saw all of them on the big screen. I am not counting every show or other project, just because I want to get this out after seeing Fantastic Four recently. I used to see as many Marvel films as I could before Thanos came and broke the box office With Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, it was a nice long conclusion that was incredibly fun to follow. But then the movies and shows kept on coming, and I have only kept up here or there, relying on YouTube or friends to fill me in on what I need to know. So let's look at three of the major MCU films released this year, and my thoughts on them. I do not usually give scores with films but I am going to for this as there are multiple films, and I may keep the scores for future reviews.  Also all these reviews will be spoiler f...
